Shes not going to New York Jane! Shes going to Brooklyn.

Happy Thanksgiving! Its been a very adventurous week devoted to turkey, phones dropping in turkey, mixology, pizza, french cuisine, foursquare on ferry docks, Christmas window admiring too early, Christmas decorating too early, and much more. But, my gal Emily and I got a pretty good start when my Grandpa sat us down and mapped out our drive from Long Island to Brooklyn, on a 1972 New York map. Sitting through one of this Paladinos lessons, is like sitting down to chat with Albus Dumbledore at Kings Cross station after you may have been killed by the darkest creature on earth...your going to want to pay attention. When Grandpa saw Flushing on the map, he told us of a woman he used to date before he met my Grandma, who lived in Flushing, while Grandpa lived in Bellmore..and the words from his mouth "I'd go to the ends of the earth for that girl....but Flushing was TOO far!". Yes..it always is.

We packed our drinks and our snacks, and listened to one of our old favorites Rilo Kiley. Tomorrow I'll be heading to the Archery range with my brother...absoluuuutely no sleep tonight.

The Pocket Lady

Today, Chase and I met the Pocket Lady at the Bay Shore library. She had crazy curly hair and was very excited..most importantly, she had a lot of interesting things in her pockets. Chase's interest peaked when she pulled a green bowl out of her pocket. She blew us kisses before we left.

Skee-ball

A good friend of mine from school has been asking me to illustrate moments of adventure I have, so I said Okay, I will do that Erica. And now this blog has a little bit of a purpose. So, thank you Erica! Im using paper lunch bags and thread, we'll see what else we can add along the way.

To begin, the weekend of 11-12-11 seemed to be all about skee-ball..and losing skee-ball. We learn the lesson that it is okay to lose.

Im excited.
